CETCI Pedagogy After Hours with Talina Corvus In-Person

Instructors have always been attentive to forming community within their classrooms. The last couple of years has heightened the importance of community building as we have been asked to teach through masks, from a distance, online, and in times of social and political upheaval. Building strong community among class cohorts can be powerful in supporting student success and facilitating meaningful dialogue. This session will include a brief review of the evidence around building community in learning environments, some of the strategies that have been applied in face to face, virtual, and online settings, and an opportunity to share and build skills. Come to this session to learn more about the ways to build community in your teaching.
