Normalizing Peer Tutoring Online

Normalizing tutoring and other help-seeking behaviors in your classroom can increase your students willingness to access academic support resources. Peer tutoring and other academic supports have a myriad of positive impacts on student retention, persistence, and overall academic performance. In the classroom, being transparent and shifting the ways we talk about services can have a huge impact on student perception and usage of services. This session covers the impacts of peer tutoring on academic performance and overall student experience, and focuses on practical strategies you can use to normalize tutoring and encourage your students to seek out the help they need to succeed in your courses. All sessions will be recorded and made available to registrants.
